How to cancel the presenter option?

I want to use my iMac to surf the web and work and use the extended monitor to play a keynote slideshow

iMac 24″, macOS 14.0

When Keynote is in Play, other applications are not visible.

A work around is to playback using In a Window which you can position and size to full screen:
