I am trying to update my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the 17 update and it keeps saying my phone will get too hot. Does anybody else have that issue?

I’m trying to update my iPhone and it says there is an issue with update that will make my phone run to hot .

If your device is getting too warm, check out If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold to identify elements that can contribute to that condition.


Ensure your device is being used in a cool environment, that you don't have intensive applications running and are not wirelessly charging for instance when you attempt to update.


You may also try to update using a computer per Update your iPhone or iPad.
