Apple asks for password to different Apple ID I try to download an app on my Apple watch

When I try to download an app on my Apple Watch, it keeps on asking me to type in the password to the Apple ID I no longer use. The Apple ID on the phone I currently have my Apple Watch paired with is using the Apple ID I currently use, but I would get popups asking me to type the passcode to the Apple ID I no longer use, and then asked me to type in the code from a two factor verification which I would not be able to get since I no longer use that Apple ID.

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities Xyphoidxray,

If you have apps installed on the device, that were downloaded using your previous Apple ID, it would be expected for you to be prompted to enter that Apple ID when the app needs to be updated.

If you no longer wish to use that Apple ID at all, you can prevent this by removing the affected apps, and redownloading them using your current Apple ID.
