how to connect up a replacement air pod pro?

I have replaced the right airpod as I recently lost it, but when I place it in the airpod case it isn't recognized.

Hi JJRASC,

I did try this method but to no avail.

I was advised by Apple to take them into the nearest Apple store, they then did similar checks and then found out that the firmware was different on both Airpods, which up until today was a first.

I have had to send the Airpods back to be Apple to be reconfigured and await their return!!
