When buying an iPhone 4 32GB at the No-Contract price of $699.00, is the price exactly $699.00 or is there tax etc put upon it. If so, can anyone knows how much tax is put upon it because I want to bring the right amount of cash in, & not a lower amount than the price. Thanks

As with all things in US that is pre-tax. Tax is based on where you live. Then there are other activation fees as well. Just call the store you are going to and ask them to work out the total price for you.
It is $699 plus whatever the tax rate is in your area. You will also have to agree to a 2 year ATT contract at that time.
699 isnt the final price, at the checkout tax will be charged, btw are you in u.s.a.? iphone in usa are locked to AT&T... what the point to pay full price for a locked iphone?
Why would I have to agree to another 2 year term with AT&T? The point of a No-Contract phone & me shelling out 700+ is for AT&T to not add the 2 year contract, Am I Correct?
And yes, I am in the U.S. But my dad doesn't feel like paying $299 for the 32GB and Data so he's just going to give me money to buy the 32GB at No-Contract.

try to get a Canadian iphone, price is the same, but phone are factory unlocked...
I'm with AT&T, so there wouldn't be a point of me trying to get a factory unlocked iPhone when I'm with the carrier that it's meant to be on.
i understand, but the day you will sell it, an unlocked iphone have almost twice value as a locked one.
Yeah I know what you mean.., but money isn't the issue for me, even if it is worth double the value. Not trying to sound cocky.
I don't see the point. You're going to pay an extra $400 for the phone but if you want to use it you will still have to pay the same as if you had a contract. The only difference is that you're not committed for two years in case you want to stop using your iPhone before then (Like that's going to happen). You can get out of your contract early by paying an early termination fee.
When purchasing the iPhone at AT&T's no-contract or no-commitment price, there is no two year contract. The contact is on month to month basis which can be cancelled at any time without an early contract termination fee, but this doesn't exclude having to have a data plan for the iPhone. A data plan is required regardless if on a two year contract or on a month to month basis.
In fact, the early termination fee is slightly less (375) than the $400 premium for the no contract phone. The ETF also drops with each month you use the phone and pay the bill. It makes no sense to start a new account with a no-contract phone. You have to meet the same credit requirements to start service. The only reason to buy no-contract phone in the U.S. is to replace one that was lost or stolen. Even a repair is only 199.
From what I've been reading, ATT is changing things to require the contract now.
My point exactly. You still have to pay the same for service. It will be silly to buy an iPhone and not have service. And it's cheeper to get out of the contract early than to pay the premium for no contract.
Can you provide a link for this?
