Apple TV 4k Super Slow Speeds on Wifi and Ethernet

I've had my apple tv 4k for just over a month, periodically it will start to buffer on various apps and when I run a speed test the speed is slow with high latency ( both wired and wireless) I have a gigabit conenction which when it isnt having this issue I get 940 Mbps, I factory reset the device and it fixed it for a day or so and then it reoccurred, restarting the device doesn't fix it. It's the only device in the house having this issue.

Hello CP-93,

Let's use the steps below to make sure that your Apple TV is up to date:

1. Go to Settings > System > Software Updates and select Update Software.

2. If there's an update, select Download and Install.

3. Wait for your Apple TV to download the update. Keep your Apple TV connected and plugged in to power until the update is complete.

After the update downloads, your Apple TV will restart, prepare the update, then install it. When the update is complete, your Apple TV will automatically restart again.

If you have the facilities to do so, you can also test your Apple TV with another network to see if that behavior still persists. That may help to isolate this further to a network specific conflict.

thanks for your reply, I’ve updated the Apple TV to the latest version (double checked as well)

I’ve tried on a different connection as well and it’s still the same.

could this be a fault with the unit?
