Anyone else have this issue? Bought my laptop 3 years ago and it suddenly have one thin vertical line appear. Apple said that they would need to replace the entire screen assembly for over $600!
Has anyone tried just replacing the cable. I will either do that or just live with it.

About a Failing Mac Screen:
I had this issue on my 2017 MBP, and had to send it in 11 times to get this fixed. The issue is the compactor going from the screen into the LogicBoard. It simply became loose. Being so patient of a customer, I was granted a free $2,500 upgrade for no more than the charge of my AppleCare plan:
