Hi willskywalker,

We see what you mean, and we'd love to help. To be clear, are you trying to AirPlay? It appears that is what you're attempting to do. If you have the following models of Apple TV, you can use the app directly.

Apple TV

"Apple Fitness+ is available on the following Apple TV models that have been updated to the latest version of tvOS:

  • Apple TV 4K
  • Apple TV HD"

If you are attempting to AirPlay, the below devices are supported.

"You can use AirPlay to stream Apple Fitness+ workouts on the following AirPlay-enabled devices and TVs:

  • AirPlay-compatible smart TVs with the label "Works with Apple AirPlay"
  • MacBook Pro (2018 and later)
  • MacBook Air (2018 and later)
  • iMac (2019 and later)
  • iMac Pro
  • Mac mini (2020 and later)
  • Mac Pro

If you're streaming to a Mac, update to the latest version of macOS. Onscreen workout metrics are available only on some AirPlay-compatible smart TVs. Metrics, such as timers, heart rate, and Activity Ring celebrations are still available on your Apple Watch.

Apple Fitness+ is available only in certain countries or regions. Learn where Apple Fitness+ is available."

Cheers!
