Audio missing in FCPX

Hi all,

I have been editing an old video, and just noticed it had no sound, when I play the original in Elmedia video player, or QuickTime, the audio is present. I had the sound muted as I worked on it, so didn't notice until I'd done a fair bit!

Any tips or ideas as to how I can get it back, preferably didn't want to start over :0)

Thanks in advance

If the answer to Tom's question is yes - i.e., the clips play with sound in the browser - then probably you accidentally set "Source Media" to "Video Only". It is all too easy to do, as the shortcut is Shift-2.

If that is the case, then it is easy to fix if there is a small number of edits... otherwise it is a chore.

Basically, you'd first set "Source Media" to "All" - press Shift-1.

Then for each clip in the timeline: select, press Shift-F to reveal in browser, then drag the browser clip onto the one in the timeline and choose Replace.
