I am from India and I want to know what does it means when a seller says that I should purchase the global variant it will cost me little cheaper than actual Indian region variant?

I went to the store and the seller suggested me to go for global/international model because it would cost me cheaper than the actual Indian region model. What are these global model and how warranty works for them and why they are cheaper??

It means you should not trust the seller or purchase anything from them.

There is no “global variant”.

Different models are sold in different regions. They are trying to con you into buying a gray market phone. It will not have any warranty in India. The warranty is only valid in the country where it was originally sold and the warranty clock started ticking when it was originally sold by Apple or an authorized retailer, not when you buy it. Even if you wanted to take it to the country of origin for service, you are not going to get a full year warranty, if you get any warranty at all.

They are cheaper because they have been purchased abroad and are being illegally re-sold without paying the required taxes in the country where they are now being sold.
