Lost emojis after ios17 upgrade

I have the same issue...it shows French, English and emoji but emoji doesnt have a check mark beside it therefore cannot activate it somehow....any other suggestions?

I also lost emojis after IOS17 update!! It updated to IOS 17 even though I always have “don’t automatically update.” Angry and frustrated!

Nothing they say to do works!

In the comment section, click on the “+”, click on “stickers”, then click on the smiley face. Everything comes up. Easier than needing to open the on-screen keyboard.

it’s a learn as you go process. If they’d only tell us what the updates added or taken away. It’s all a guessing game and experimenting.

Tried your suggestion of how to resolve my missing emojis since the new update and it didn’t work. How can I cancel the new update and retrieve the last update.

None of these options work on my phone, there is no emoji to add only countries.

Same here. Can’t choose Emoji. If I do a search, emoji doesn’t appear in the options.

For Apple’s info, that’s a pain - don’t like so many clicks to get a simple smiley.

Unfortunately it does not work.

It shows Emoji as a language, but it does not allow it to be chosen as an “on” keyboard. Please advise.

I understand the step to use the sticker, but that is two added steps rather than just hitting the “globe” key/button on the ipad.

Please resolve this. I agree with previous statements. It is very frustrating not being able to use Emoji in a simple manner.

This option is gone on the iOS 17 update.

Lost all my emojis. Tried all the suggestions and nothing worked to bring back them back. Made a new face after going to + new emoji and pressed “done” but then that disappeared. Tried all the suggestions again. Nothing. Very frustrating.

I found the emoji under stickers ! The one that you created that looks like yourself. Press the + then stickers you will see the red box that is the one you made of yourself. Then that should open every time you press your + stickers

I tried as suggested and even powered off/on iPhone afterwards and still didn’t work.

"Don't see the emoji keyboard?

If you don't see the emoji keyboard, make sure that it's added.

1. Go to Settings > General and tap Keyboard.
2. Tap Keyboards, then tap Add New Keyboard.
3. Tap Emoji."

It doesn’t allow me to TAP emojis.

There’s no +sticker option when using Apps like WhatsApp

It just works with text messaging

I also lost one of my keyboards and when go to General — Keyboard I see the name of the keyboard but it doesn’t exist and won’t give me any option to edit

so frustrating
