Lost emojis after ios17 upgrade

Go to general, keyboards, click add keyboard type in “emoji” into the text box, after doing this it will be below the qwerty keyboard on a separate line and this adds the emojis back to the qwerty keyboard hen you go to messenger or whatever, the globe or smiling emoji face will be back in the lower left.

I figured out where to find the Memojis. If you are in a new message and hit the "+" sign as you normally would to find the Memoji options, hit "Stickers". This is not the end, the stickers only show a small selection of recently used Memoji stickers, so this is just a waypoint to getting them all back. OK, once you are in stickers, in the top row (selection tools for stickers, not stickers themselves), click on "EDIT" to the far right. When the new window opens, ignore the sticker apps options, and click the button below those that says, "Get Sticker Apps on the App Store." Search for Bitmoji, and download it from the cloud. As soon as you do that your old avatar and the large selection of sticker options will appear again! I can now see the Bitmoji icon when I create a new message, and have the full array of Memojis to choose from.

I face the same issue. This could be fixed by go to settings > general > keyboard > add new key board > search ‘Emoji’ > add it.

In the comment section, click on the “+”, click on “stickers”, then click on the smiley face. Everything comes up. Easier than needing to open the on-screen keyboard.

it’s a learn as you go process. If they’d only tell us what the updates added or taken away. It’s all a guessing game and experimenting.

I found the emoji under stickers ! The one that you created that looks like yourself. Press the + then stickers you will see the red box that is the one you made of yourself. Then that should open every time you press your + stickers

A lot of the emoji keyboards I had are now accessible via the stickers option in the “+” tag. Hope this helps

After trying the Stickers>Smiley option, the old emoji icon shows up at the bottom of the keyboard where it used to be. Now I have a happy face.

If you don't see the emoji keyboard, make sure that it's added.

1. Go to Settings > General and tap Keyboard.
2. Tap Keyboards, then tap Add New Keyboard.
3. Tap Emoji."

I had to do +, stickers, three faces and scroll past a lot of nonsense to find my Memojis. Sent my faves to a friend so they would be at the top of the list on the 3 faces tab.

Ok. If you’re using an attached/bluetooth keyboard, open the on-screen keyboard. Click on the “world” key. All stickers and emoji’s appear. Not sure if this is a work-around, but at least they aren’t really “lost.”

Like someone said- Tap on Stickers, then the gray Smiley. All the rest come up.

If you go under settings and type in predictive text, make sure that it is turned on. Sometimes settings rearrange themselves after an update. Good luck!

If you go to your text and press the plus sign it will pull up a list. Press stickers try to figure it out from there .now when I do it the emoji that I created of myself comes up . I forget what I had to do but it’s there where you will recover your emoji.

I tried this unfortunately didn’t come back until i did a software update.
