is there a way to add the garbage can to email program on the IPad mini 2?
It could not be more complicated to delete emails on this device.
Even when you choose “Edit” in the inbox, “delete” is not a choice.
You have to choose “move” to folder, then look at all your folders to find the trash.
If you open an email, no matter which direction you swipe, the garbage can icon is not a choice.
Can this be changed?

You can double check the settings for your mailbox behaviors by navigating to Settings > Passwords & Accounts and then tapping on the entry for your account. From there you'll want to tap on your email address and then the advanced option.
If all your options appear to be set correctly there, is this occurring with an iCloud email address, or an email address from another provider?
