Hey there nothile113,

We understand that the Wi-Fi option is grayed out in your iPhone Settings. If that's correct, we'd like to rule out some possible causes:

  1. For your iPhone model, the latest version is iOS 15.7.9. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then update: Update your iPhone or iPad Please keep in mind that you wouldn't be able to use the Wi-Fi to update it, but you can update it on a computer using the steps listed in the article.
  2. If you already have iOS 15.7.9 installed, the next step would be to reset your network settings under Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This option will remove all saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings.
  3. If the same issue remains afterwards, we recommend letting Apple Support know what's been tried as they'll be in the best position to assist further: Get Support

Cheers!
