The Apple Cash used to update soon after making a payment but no longer does. I have tried toggling it off then back on in Wallet and Apple Pay of Settings. I have seen no other remedies other than restarting the phone which did nothing. The Apple Cash used to show up soon after making a payment. At the risk of sounding “Microsoftish” …
… you might try signing “out” and back “in” to your AppleID from the problematic device.
This method has been known to resolve otherwise inexplicable Wallet funkiness.

My only other suggestion is to contact Green Dot Bank directly.

Thank you for replying. It took some time to go through that on/back on procedure signing out then in to Apple, then I waited for things to update. No joy, as the Apple Cash balance still does not reflect a large payment.
Yes, I might do that. Interestingly the correct amount is listed when I click the transaction in Apple Card, but it is not showing in the Apple Cash app, although an older not updated amount is shown there.

Unfortunately, these sorts of services - which almost “always” work - don’t have a well-developed list of “things to try.”
My own experience w/ AppleCash - near instantaneous updating - has mirrored your prior experiences - for the entire four years I’ve been using it.

Yep, I'll come back in here and outline the solution if it comes along.. I'm thinking it's going to right itself at some point. But if not, and I'll give it one more week, I'm going to call the Goldman Sachs number which has a link right there in the app.
