Export and render FCP x slowww! with 128gb Ram

i have a 2021 iMac 27” maxed out with 128gb ram

I have 20 min projects some b-roll editing in 4k ..some filters , transforms , Ken burns , color corrects , and exporting even in the smallest file resolution Apple devices , it still takes 3-4 hours ?

Can not render or export file My OS is Ventura 13.4.1. and I am running FCP 1.6.5. I am unable to render to a drive that has plenty of room to hold the render. I can not export either. It starts out unbearably slow and then I get an error message saying the render or the export can not be completed. FCP renders the same content over and over. Why? I have a new mac studio and was hoping for better performance compared to my old machine, but FCP is constantly rendering. Yes, I know you can turn background render off, but that's not the issue. Why can't it render an edited sequence once, and just use that rendered file from then on unless I re-edit the sequence? I'll do a project, and it will fully render. If I come back the next day, it renders it all over again. Over time my rendered files folder in that project will get huge, 600GB or more, and I just have to manually delete it because my hard drive is full. Then I get to render it yet again. What gives?

Higher data rate can often process faster, but that does seem slow. I assume you have a lot of VRAM to go with the 128 RAM.

Please post an EtreCheck report https://etrecheck.com giving the application Full Disk Access in Privacy & Security System Settings. Copy the report and use the Add Text button to paste the result into reply box.
