Apple earbuds Pro, second generation suddenly not functioning after years of successful function

Apple earbuds Pro 2nd generation previously were functional for years with my iPhone 13, but stopped functioning yesterday. iPhone re-boot, but still no sound function on either transparency and noise canceling mode. Indicates “connected” All devices charged. Should I do a reset up for pairing my earbuds?

iPhone 5s, iOS 12

If your AirPods Pro 2nd gen have stopped working, then resetting your AirPods is a great troubleshooting step to try.
