Screen stays on and drains battery even though it shouldn't
Hi,
I have MacBook Pro. I've changed all the settings I can find related to going into sleep and saving battery. E.g. I've turned off Enable Power Nap, Wake for network access, and Screen Time, and I've set the display to turn off on battery when in active (after 2 minutes).
Ok, still it seems like my screen is on even though I'm not using the MBP! The screenshot below shows how the screen apparently has been on the whole day today, even though I didn't use it. Looking at the diagram, it seems like I pulled out the power cord at 9am, and then used the laptop for 12 hours until the battery died. What actually happened was that at 9am I pulled the plug and plugged it into my work laptop. I worked the whole day on that other laptop, not using this MBP at all. To the human eye, the screen of this MBP has been black, even though the diagram shows that the screen has been on and the battery has been draining.
Please help me with what's going on here. And how can I change it? I just want the MBP to go into sleep and not consume battery if I don't use it for a few minutes. Is that too much asked? I thought that was how all laptops worked nowadays? Or has Apple been inspired by Windows 95 that had to be rebooted a couple of times per day to work well?
