Set up busy notification if phone is in use

Hi,

I am setting up the iphone SE for my elderly Mum, she has only one phone now which is the iphone. When she is on the phone there is no way of the second caller knowing and it just rings out. Is there an easy way to set up so the second caller knows that my Mum is on a call and not dead (sorry for being dramatic, but frustrating!)

Assistive Access - Missed Calls I have recently purchased an iPhone 12 for my dad and set up Assistive Access to keep it as simple as possible, but since doing to new IOS update, when ever he misses a call you can’t call that number back, even when they are a contact in the phone, you have to completely re-type the number in to call it back. My mom doesn’t get notified when a voicemail comes, only a missed call notification Hello and I hope you’re having a good day wherever you are, I here have a question regarding voicemails on my mother’s iPhone X. She has allows had trouble trying to get her voicemails to alert as she receives them. And ever since my mom has gotten her iPhone X (it was preowned by a seller on eBay) to replace her iPhone 6S, she has never been able to know when she gets a notification. If it helps, I’m pretty sure she’s using the same SIM card. I’ve set up a sound effect to go off that’s different from the rest of the ringtones for it, and nothing, still. Request for prominent silent mode notification on iPhone I was looking to see if apple provided a big banner or other glaring notification that silent mode was on, because that little swithch is always getting turned on without me noting it, and I miss calls. I see Hundreds (thousands? I only looked at one thread) of other people have asked for something similar ( a little icon a 32nd of an inch tall buried amongst a string of similarly small icons is not an alert that THE essential feature of an iPHONE has been silently partially disabled). But Apple doesn't respond. New os after new os version, and this highly requested and easily programmed feature is not implemented Are the programmers clueless as to how real people need to receive phone calls? Do they not care, or are they just all tied up in inventing features nobody wants, and changing things in the OS so that older iPhones and iPads become non-functional? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Hello stamps,

To set up call waiting so your notified when a second call comes in, just go to Settings > Phone and turn on the Call Waiting option.

Set up call forwarding and call waiting on iPhone

When you have call waiting enabled and you're on a phone call, when someone calls you it will ring on their end and you'll get a notification on your device to select if you want to answer the call or decline it.

When call waiting is disabled and you're on a phone call, when someone tries to call you it won't ring and it will just send them right to voicemail.
