Blue line across screen

Blue line across screen

I got my iPad a couple if days ago and it has developed a blue line going across the bottom of the screen, just above the home button. I has read about this problem but mine seems slightly different, in that the line only shows when it's against a black background, against any other colour it isn't visible, so it's not a dead pixel or pixels. I have done a restore and it worked for about ten minutes but it has came back now.

Is there any other solution I could try or is it back to the shop for me?

This is probably a hardware problem. You should either go to an Apple store or call Apple to get it replaced.

I thought that, I just though it was a bit weird that the line goes away when replaced by another colour, ie when I open safari so I don't think it's a hardware problem, still, back to the shop I go
