Turn off iphone is unavailable

Sometimes, my son grabs my phone. If it isn't unlocked by the proximity of my watch and he enters a passcode, it can become unavailable for minutes (years?). This is an annoyance. I'm not the only one. This is the subject of a meme.

I don't want this "feature." So a wrong passcode was input. No one is going to take the time to try a million passcodes. I understand it's a security measure against a brute force attack, should someone use a computer to do this. I should have the option of turning it off and taking the risk of that never happening.
