(cmnd+space) Spotlight Shortcut Not Working

When using the keyboard shortcut (cmnd+space), the spotlight used to open for me, and it doesn't anymore since updating to OS Sonama.

Even when I do get the spotlight window to open when I activate it manually, the enter button / return key for anyone American, doesn't work to submit my search... any ideas?

I have checked my keyboard shortcut settings, this didn't affect it after resetting to default.
I have restarted my mac, didn't work.
I have quit the service, does not work.

I am wondering if it is just a glitch with the new OS update?

Hey,

thank you for the reply. All it did was recenter the window.

It wasn’t that I couldn’t open the window, it’s that it was not working with the keyboard shortcut, as it was, I had to use a Bluetooth keyboard which I paired to my Mac, I then disconnected it and restarted the Mac, and for some reason it worked!

I don’t know exactly how or why that affected it, presumably did some form of hard reset on the keyboard settings?

What happens if you click and hold the Spotlight icon in the upper right menubar...(?)
