Why am I getting zero results when searching with an event name on iOS 17.0.3?
On iPhone 15 Pro, with iOS 17.0.3 there are zero results when searching with an event name in Calendar search bar. Thanks in advance for help!

I had the same exact issue so I tried this fix:
Settings > Siri & Search > Calendar>while searching
Toggle “Show Content in Search” off, and then back on.
This basically does the same thing to reestablish calendar search without actually needing to delete it.
hopefully it works for you too.

In Settings > Calendar > Siri & Search
toggle the followings sliders (to off and then on again):
Show App in Search
Show Content in Search
That fixed it for me … was suggested by another poster.
Thank you. This is the correct solution. You have to toggle off Show App in Search first, turn it back on, and then do the same with Show Content in Search.
Simply insane that we have to suffer through issues like this one...
Where are calendar events stored? Not on iCloud?
You have not mentioned where your calendar events are? Google, iCloud, AOL, Exchange, Outlook, Yahoo or any Other
Refer to the pic below, you may get your answer
Which is your default calendar? Settings > Calendar > Default Calendar
Settings > Calendar > Sync > [All Events] - Watch the GIF below
What finally worked for me — hard reset of phone. Simultaneously hold volume up and on/off button until phone screen goes black and Apple symbol reappears. Good luck!
RE: searching my calendar for past events, my calendar keeps defaulting to today. I needed to report a previous medical appointment date, and I could not find it, as it keeps going to "today" - I tried that fix that was mentioned, toggling it off, clicking remove, then later turning it back on...no luck. I can even click another year and start searching, but it always comes back to "today" - which is not helpful at all. I upgraded recently to the iPhone 15. Why can't I do a simple calendar search on this phone?
I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the iCal app. I’ve toggled settings on and off. I still can’t search for events in my calendar on my phone. I can on my iPad calendar, but I don’t always carry that with me. Any other suggestions for fixing this on my phone app?
I had this issue months ago, contacted support, they fixed it, but then I upgraded my phone and the same issue is happening on the new phone! The events are there, but the search function within the calendar does not produce results.
I stated already that the problem has been solved and how. But thank you very much for your reply. It is iCloud mail.
I don't get any results when I search my calendar unless I’m on wifi. That was not always the case. I checked my settings and don’t see anything that will correct this problem.
I’m not seeing any comment about how you fixed it. I’m curious because I’m having the same problem.
I have the same problem with my iPhone 12 mini running iOS 17.4.1
My calendar is full of events, but when I try to search specific one, it shows "no results
This process works for me and allowed my calendars to sync correctly now when I search for backwards appointments
Using iPhone 15 pro and this solved my problem of not seeing future recurring events in calendar search.
New IPhone 15 and New IPad Air 5th gen. iPad search not returning results, but on the calendar. I did toggle the IPad settings as you suggested above. Worked! Thanks.
