Does Apple--or anyone else--make a 12v. charger for the MacBook Pro? I want to use my MBP on an extended boat trip, and will need to charge it from the boat's 12-volt system. Haven't yet found a suitable charger. (Apple makes a cable to enable running the MBP on commercial airliners, but it does not charge the battery--it only supplies operating power.)

Thanks for any suggestions.

Am I likely to damage my MBP 13 with the 12v. 85 watt charger?

No. Your MBP will only draw as much power from the adapter as it needs.

If you don't find a 12V charger, consider getting an inverter which will take the 12V and convert it to standard AC so you can use your usual charger. They aren't that expensive.

Lopezian, the manufacturer also sells a version of that adapter rated for 60 watts; they can be readily found via your favorite search engine.
