heating problem in iphone

After using even 5 minutes my phone start heating. It is not acceptable in this type of iPhone.

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about your iPhone.


Your phone will heat up in use. Especially if it's being charged while in use. Also, heating up is normal with apps like Instagram, always connected for upload and download of high res pics and videos.


Do you see the temperature warning screen? Even if you see the temperature warning screen, it's just a battery protection feature.


Is it too hot to hold and harming you? If it’s too hot, please stop using it and contact Apple Support or make an appointment to get it in to be inspected.

Otherwise, your phone is likely fine. You can check for runaway apps in Settings > Battery > Last 24 hours tab > and check Screen On / Screen Off. The top 6 or 8 apps in that list. Does it look like any apps are running more or using more power than you expect to be used? Let us know if some apps look like they are using more power than you are actually using them.
