Hi, im on iOS 17 and iPad is 17 latest version. I have a lot of double contacts, but my iphone isn’t showing me the option to merge them. I have also checked under www.iCloud.com

Same problem, not able to see the "Duplicates Found" button.
Apple support, please advise a fix. Please DO NOT (so tired of seeing this in support threads) reply with an article telling us to use the "Duplicates Found/Merge Duplicates" button...because not being able to do that is the issue.
Ah, that’s a shame; sorry I couldn’t help.
It’s very weird. I only get the option at the bottom of the “All Contacts” List.
I’ll be sure to post back if I come across any other ideas…

None of this stuff works, I have 11k contacts in my phone, I have been messing with this for a week. Noone seems to know how to fix this issue.
the merge worked on previous IOS, The new update apparently eliminated this feature.
Apple support suggests
① delete by hand ② change to faster VPN
after trying syncing to and back Google I am using paid App to delete multiple contacts. This is taking months….
did anyone tried saving essential contacts to iCloud and then deleting all?
That’s the whole point of this thread: The button (or option) to select to merge duplicate contacts is NO LONGER THERE.
Honestly, this has been such a hassle, it’s far easier to delete ALL CONTACTS and not worry about it anymore. I am NOT going to manually go through over 3000 contacts.
Apple should be better than this, but they are not. They have failed miserably in correcting this issue in the past three upgrades (that I can recall), and maybe more.

I definitely have duplicate contacts with the same name but for example, one has a landline and the other has a mobile, anyway maybe I'll call Apple
because there is still no button to merge duplicates

I also do not have the merge duplicate option on iOS 17 (iPhone 15).
in my situation, I had thousands of duplicates and I had just switched over to Apple from an android device. My duplicates were actually in my Google account. I was able to sign into Google contacts and merge all duplicates there and it subsequently immediately updated and removed all duplicates on my iPhone. I hope this helps someone else.

There is nothing below “my card”. It opens “my card” and there isn’t an option to merge duplicate contacts there either.

That’s a very clever suggestion, so I thought I’d give that a go, but it didn’t correct the problem on my iPhone 14 Pro Max running 17.4.1.
