Hello! I can’t set a song bought on iTunes as my ringtone

I bought a song on iTunes so I could set it as my ringtone and it didn’t work. I installed iTunes on my computer as well and connected my phone to my computer thinking I could set it as my ringtone from my computer but that didn’t work either. Please, help me set it because I don’t know what to do anymore! Thank you!
