Editing lock screen

when I press customize to edit my lock screen there is no option to add widgets or change them, or to change the font or color. When I tried to make a whole new Lock Screen by clicking the plus I would click Photos and all it would do would load the only way it lets me add widgets if I do a lock screen that’s already made but I can’t change the photo of it i’ve searched ways to fix this, but no one seems to have the same problem?
