How to stop Facebook and Audio from Auto connecting to Apple Car Play

This question has been asked many many times and still no solution to stop this.

iPhone connecting to Apple Car play as connection preference as I use it for Waze so no need for cable

connecting via bluetooth does not help it does the same.

Is there a way to stop apps like Facebook and even outlook from muting the radio via Apple Carplay and trying to play what ever video or audio is on the Iphone?

Example sitting in the car listen to the radio, open facebook or outlook page on the two apps to the first NON playing message or post then bang the radio mutes!!! To get the radio working again you have to close the apps and select radio again

surly there must be a solution

to stop this from happening?
