Macbook Pro. 13-inch Mid-2014 unable to install windows 10 using bootcamp

my MacBook freezes when I tried to Download Windows 10 through Bootcamp in my MacBook 13inch. Mid 2014. 128GB

Heres what happened

  1. I downloaded Windows 10 ISO. 64 bit Eng.
  2. I deleted stuff until I have 42GB worth of empty Storage
  3. I plugged in 256GB SSD card
  4. I activated boot camp
  5. Bootcamp downloaded necessary files.
  6. I partitioned My MacBook until both Windows and Mac have equal number of GB.
  7. Restart failed. It just freezes.
  8. I forced restarted my Mac and deleted my bootcamp partition
  9. I repeated the same procedure 4 times.

What should I do?

Did Apple designate MacBook 13inch. Mid 2014 as Obsolete and dropped all support? I still get security updates for MacOS Big Sur.

A few observations from your post:

  • You must use Boot Camp Assistant to partition your internal drive in order to install Windows. Using Diskutility to partition a drive before trying to install Windows will not work.
  • A 128 GB drive is not large enough to have a Mac and a Boot Camp partition. I recommend a Boot Camp partition no smaller than 256GB.
  • A boot Camp partition should be deleted using Boot Camp Assistant. Deleting a Boot Camp partition using Disk Utility will not provide the needed results.
