After Sonoma upgrade, Preview deletes data after modifying a PDF

After upgrading to Sonoma, I have issues after modifying a PDF in Preview. If I delete a page within a PDF file, after saving the file, all fields in the file become blank after closing the file and re-opening.

Has made Preview completely unusable for editing PDFs which is very disappointing.

Anyone else having this same issue? Any suggestions?

You can file a bug report /submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

The suggestion is use a true PDF editor and compare your results

there are many, here are a few examples:

Acrobat Reader / Adobe Acrobat DC

https://get.adobe.com/reader/

PDFpen / Nitro

https://pdfpen.com/pdfpen/

pdfExpert

https://pdfexpert.com/

Master PDF Editor
