Hi prosper166,
As far as what you can do with regard to your device becoming warmer, complete the following in order:
1) If not already updated, install the latest version of iOS that your device can support. If using an iPhone 6s as shown in your profile, that will be iOS 15.7.9.
2) Review the list of actions in the previous reply for situations where it's normal for your device to become warmer. If the behavior occurs during one or more of those listed processes, then no action is needed on your part as that is expected.
3) Otherwise, make a note of what app or function you're using when the problem occurs and identify patterns to the behavior. If you are able to identify apps that trigger the temperature change, make sure they are up-to-date and if necessary consult the developer using the steps in How to contact an app developer for additional guidance.
4) If you use a case with your iPhone try testing without that installed to see if it may be interfering with the built-in cooling system of the device.
Regards.
Hey there prosper166,
It's perfectly normal for iPhone to be warmer than usual under certain circumstances, such as the following:
If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support
Your device might get warm
You might notice that your device feels warmer when you:
* Set up your device the first time
* Restore from a backup
* Wirelessly charge your device
* Use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, games, or features, including augmented-reality apps
* Stream high-quality video
If your iPhone is getting warmer than expected when taking the above actions, then that is normal and the iPhone will return to regular temperatures when the activity is completed.
