When using apps, the computer freezes and is unable to use.

Do you have any anti-virus, app cleaners, system "optimizers", or VPN apps installed? They create more issues than they "pretend" to prevent. If you do, I suggest you use the manufacturers uninstall programs and erase them from your Mac.
