How to use the Conditional Highlighting "Is checked" option in tables for Pages?

I have read that pages doesn't support check boxes but why then does conditionally highlighting have an "is checked" and "is not checked" option? All the other options for cells work like true/false empty/content but I can't figure out how to check a cell?

Pages v13.2 on Sonoma still does not support a checkbox format, and none copied and pasted from Numbers v13.2 arrive as a Pages table with a checkbox, only as TRUE or FALSE.

Thus, the Cell choices for is checked or is not checked are one or more of the following possibilities:

  1. Bogus for Pages
  2. Signal future intent to support the Numbers checkbox format
  3. The developer simply did not know or care to check that check boxes are not valid formats in Pages.

You can check for all conditions except those involving checked:

If motivated, you may wish to send direct feedback to the Pages team indicating a bug via the application menu.
