I'm experiencing poor tracking while using Apple Pencil 2nd generation; after purchase of new Apple Pencil, issue persists?

I am currently using a 2020 M1 model iPad Pro 11. When I am handwriting on my iPad with my Apple Pencil 2, it will glitch (creating weird lines and also deleting most of my sentences). It started happening about a year and a half ago. I brought it to the Apple store and they recommended me to get a new pencil so I did. However, the issue did not go away. I am still having the issue and it is getting worse. I have tried factory resetting my iPad, and updating, everything possible and it still won't go away. Can someone please help me?

Hi ppcam93,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you've tried some great troubleshooting steps so far including those in the 'If your Apple Pencil won't pair with your iPad' section of Pair Apple Pencil with your iPad - Apple Support.

Since this continues with a different Apple Pencil, it seems most likely that this is related to the iPad or its settings, accessories, etc. In an attempt to isolate further, here are a few suggestions. If you use any case, screen protector, or any other accessories try without those. Also, try with multiple apps if you haven't.

As far as settings, check to see if 'Only Draw with Apple Pencil' is enabled or disabled in Settings > Apple Pencil. Test with that setting disabled and see if the same occurs.

All the best.
