Minecraft Storage

Minecraft on my I pad is taking up 9gb of storage but if you go into the Minecraft files it doesn’t even take up one gb. Is there a reason Minecraft is taking up so much space?

applications storage I don't understand why my applications storage is so much since I do not have 200+ gigs of downloaded stuff. It ll jump from 5 to 212 but in the HD stay the same. Any reason why?
