Ableton, Cubase or other audio recording software?

Hello. I use Nuendo and Cubase for many years and I just love these softwares for audio recording. However, they are expensive for me, especially, because of the fact that they improve every couple of months and have newer and newer version every time. I tried to work with Ableton, but I can't make myself to work with it. I worked a couple of times with FL Studio and it is good for sound effects, for creating loops and I feel like it's more for electronic music and effects.

But for software for recording and editing audio, I love Nuendo and Cubase Pro, because of the plugin "Vari Audio". I can make so much with it. Unfortunately, it can be used only with Nuendo and Cubase Pro, not with a cheaper version of Cubase. But Nuendo's license costs almost a thousand euros. You can see here: NUENDO! Can anyone tell me a software that can do all the things "vari audio" of Nuendo and Cubase Pro does?

Thanks!

Respectfully,

What are you trying to do?

Logic's Flex Pitch lets you change monophonic melodies (vocals or other) in time and pitch, much like Melodyne.

With the various Flex Time options, you can change audio files in time and/or pitch in general. I recommend reading the manual or watch some tutorial videos.
