Is there any way to disable the inline auto-complete but keep the predictive text bar in iOS 17?

I like the predictive text feature of the keyboard, but the new auto-complete feature is extremely annoying as it tends to auto complete with the wrong word more often than getting the correct one. I want to still have the bar above the keyboard that predicts the three most common words to use next… But, I do not want it to attempt to auto-complete my words.
