Hi Hgambl3,

We see you already reviewed the related article titled Leave Family Sharing. Per this resource, the steps to disband a Family Sharing group are:

"Disband a family group

When the family organizer turns off Family Sharing, all family members are removed from the group at the same time. Before you can stop Family Sharing, you must transfer children under 13* to another family. Learn how to move a child to another Family Sharing group

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

In iOS 16 or later:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap Family.
  3. Tap your name.
  4. Tap Stop Using Family Sharing.

In iOS 15 or earlier:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Tap your name, then tap Family Sharing.
  3. Tap your name.
  4. Tap Stop Family Sharing.

On your Mac

In macOS Ventura or later:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Family.
  2. Click your name.
  3. Click Stop Using Family Sharing.

In macOS Monterey or earlier:

  1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Family Sharing.
  2. Click Details next to your name.
  3. Click Turn Off, and then click Stop Family Sharing.

If you created a Family Sharing group before iOS 14, the organizer keeps the family calendar, reminders, and shared photo album in their account. They can share the content again with individual family members. Learn how to share calendars and reminders."

Note that the recorded age on the Apple ID will determine if an account can be removed or must be transferred. Follow those listed steps and double check the date of birth for the account in question if it will not let you disband the group.

Regards.
