Nov 21, 2010 6:21 AM in response to Hani Obaidby antipoet,I tried the above suggestion by Hani and a couple other things and will just be submitting a request to Apple Support. This is incredibly frustrating to discover that it doesn't have anything to do with the error message iTunes sends. Perhaps it's okay, I've been looking for an excuse to try out one of Apple's mobile competitors. -
Nov 21, 2010 7:10 PM in response to losmendels2by cleodc,I have Same problem too...
last email I got from staff is 3-4 days
don’t matter which card I use ,
Visa credit card or Master credit card they all say declined in iTunes.
have anyone apple support staff ask for your information / your credit card statement???
I never see anyone ask for my credit card statement before, Only Itune did.
I buy app not a house , and I am not borrowing money or seek credit from them why they want my credit card statement.
I use this account for 9 month. and nothing wrong with my payment .
If I spend too much money on my credit card, the credit card call center would alert me.
No one is stupid enough to pay money for goods that he/she did not buy for the whole nine months -
Nov 24, 2010 12:53 AM in response to losmendels2by Pemoseh,Hi
I am having the same problem, I have tried to input my credit card info - it didnt work.... I tried family members...it keeps on saying declined straight away...
This is making me sad, because I cannot download apps for my iphone.
I have tried creating a account without inserting credit card info, it still says declined.
Does anybody know of a way to downgrade to itunes 9, until they sort out this problem?
or
Has apple blocked my computer, as I have tried different ip addresses and the problem still occurs... -
Nov 26, 2010 4:43 AM in response to losmendels2by Disgusted Buyer,WHERE IS CUSTOMER SERVICE? Heeeellllloooooo Apple? Anyone home? This issue is obviously not a one of a kind thing. Just got my new touch today, can't do anything because my credit card is "declined" or "not accepted" so I tried my PayPal, then it says "credit card denied". ***? It's not even a credit card. I've tried many "fixes" others have posted and nothing. Maybe Apple or iTunes should review their own forums and figure this out. Glad I kept my receipt! -
Nov 27, 2010 9:44 AM in response to StevenS522by paullopez,I am getting 'payment declined' errors too.
I am US citizen who moved to Hong Kong, and continued to use the US iTunes store for 2+ years with my US credit card & US address. During past few weeks, my iPhone and iMac received the 'payment declined' errors, and now I can not purchase anything: No shows, no music, no gift cards, no apps, no FREE apps!
What's worse: I'm in the middle of a Season Pass and this prevents me from changing my "country location" to Hong Kong; I have to wait until all episodes are completed. It seems I'm stuck with a *"bricked iTunes account"* for at least 1-2 months! -
Nov 28, 2010 3:59 AM in response to tommyz1by rockyscj@gmail.com,Have you found an answer yet to the credit card problem?
I have the same problem.
I am thinking to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.
I am in Afghanistan (Bagram, Airfield) and I use the IO Global network from India. I changed my mailing address with my bank and now my credit card is being rejected. I changed the address back to my mailing address but iTunes is still rejecting the credit card. -
Nov 28, 2010 11:41 AM in response to losmendels2by rickpD,I have read all the posts on this page and I am having the same issue. I have tried 5 different cards and I am declined every time, has this gotten back to Apple and is there a resolution yet? Thanks, Rick -
Nov 28, 2010 12:00 PM in response to rickpDby riversen,Does everyone know that you have to send an email to customer support via the link I posted earlier in this thread? If you don't, then you won't get anything resolved. It is a legacy bug to the upgraded interfaces to support FaceTime. -
Nov 28, 2010 12:05 PM in response to riversenby artherious87,I try to input a new card in to my account it dose not accept the security card. -
Dec 4, 2010 8:26 AM in response to riversenby paullopez, riversen, thank you. I was able to remove the block on my cc by getting hold of customer service via the link you provided. thanks -
Dec 4, 2010 4:37 PM in response to riversenby lucybell,Riversen or Anyone else who can help-
I am having that same problem as so many others...every credit card I've tried has been denied even though I know for a fact they are perfectly fine. I did send an email through the support link. It says average reply time is 24hrs. It's been over that already with no response.
Was there some other special link to use for support contact for this problem. It is beyong frustrating and disappointing!
Thanks much. -
Dec 4, 2010 5:24 PM in response to lucybellby riversen,Unfortunately, no. This is a shortcoming of iTunes. Short of opening a second, you just have to wait. Took them 72 hours to fix my issue. -
Dec 4, 2010 5:42 PM in response to losmendels2by capsema,Well guys I live in Mexico and got my iPad in LA, from the moment I sync and set it up the problem began, so like many others I can't purchase or update my apps, the message I get is that my security code is not valid.
So it is happening also in Mexico not only in the States, riversen do you have any suggestion? -
Dec 4, 2010 6:07 PM in response to capsemaby riversen,Unfortunately, no. Email them and wait. This is perhaps the worst part of Apple. Too bad that they don't always respond in 24 hours. When this same thing happened to me, I received an email in about 28 hours that they got my email (sent in5 or 6). It took 72 hours for them to get back to me. I went to the apple store but they only referred me to the link I posted above. Even as a business customer this stunk and still does. -
Dec 4, 2010 6:19 PM in response to riversenby capsema,TY riversen I just sent them a mail, just have to wait, thank's again, if I get this one solve, for sure I'll will post it here.
has anyone have tried to create a new account? maybe it could work, who knows
