Q: Credit Card is Declined

I've been having a problem for the past few days. Every time I try to make a purchase, my credit card is declined. I have used this credit card for purchases for years. I spoke to my bank and there is no reason for the card to be declined. I have tried using other cards and even Pay Pal. Itunes is declining all methods of payment for my account. I sent in an inquiry using itunes support and have heard nothing. Is there a number to call to solve this?

    I have the SAME problem. IT IS NOT THE BANK because I verified my debit card information OVER THE PHONE, ONLINE, & IN WRITING!!! It works online on EVEY OTHER ONLINE SITE i use it on & for ALL OTHER TRANSACTIONS!!!

    I spoke to an itunes rep on the phone & the only advice they could offer was to pay a HEFTY FEE in order to possibly solve my issue through another itunes rep ALSO over the phone & suggested I put a question HERE IN THIS FORUM, & send an email including this same question to an itunes rep (& I had ALREADY previously done BOTH & am still waiting on a response)!!!
    I NEED to be able to purchase on my account bc I am using my iphone for WORK & naturally there are glitches in some of my apps & I can't FIX OR UPDATE THEM until the issue is resolved...NOR AM I GOING TO PAY A LARGE FEE FOR SOMETHING I ALREADY PAID FOR THAT SHOULD BE WORKING!!!

    I am not trying to be rude by using bold/caps/italics/etc....but rather am using them in the hopes of getting attention from someone who can help because I seriously need it as soon as possible, IF NOT BEFORE!!!

    THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!

    PLEASE HELP SOLVE THIS ISSUE!!!

    I'm having the same issue now.  Some Google searches indicated that PayPal and iTunes can have issues.  Not a big deal.  There are a lot of services other than Apple to go with.  I don't need to buy services from them.  Amazon has some great music and movie services and I haven't had a problem with them.  Their customer support is also pretty responsive and don't make me wait or stick to only email support.  The way I see it, with a lot of the Apple services not providing my needs, I may go back to using a Windows or Linux computer.  The Android tablets are about as good as an iPad now and much cheaper.  This is how business works.  If you get a good service, customers tend to stick with it.  When you get bad service, customers start looking elsewhere.

    Since these forums are populated by users just like you, we have no way of taking care of credit or debit card problems or other account/store problems.

     

    I am assuming you were advised having to pay a fee because your product is out of warranty? Any support usually charges for out of warranty issues.

     

    Unfortunately, dealing with the store, their support services, and/or your bank are the only options. If something was charged fraudulently, contact your bank. If there are other issues with your card, it needs to be addressed with the vendor you are trying to do business with - the volunteers on these forums can only help with technical problems/glitches.

    buy cheaper iTunes on 4saleusa and you do not have to be worry about credit cards regionalism

    Not a very good idea to post suggestions to use a scam website which is also red flagged (very poor reputation - see the red dots) - I won't put my machine or myself at risk going there.

    Incredibly Apple wont let you donwload ALREADY PURCHASED Apps if your credit card is beeing declined. This is absolutely ridiculous! That would be the same if I would have purchased a car with my card and then - just because is is declined sometimes in the future - I am not allowed to drive it anymore!!!

     

    ABSURD!

    I too am having this problem - i cant access my account info on a computer or my ipad, and the 'helpful' woman at apple support tells me she only works 8 - 2 EST and that i should PURCHASE help to fix the problem.  She didn't ask about the age of my product if she had she would know that i have an IPAD MINI so not even close to being out of the warranty period. I have called my bank in excess of 5 times and not only have they not received any request for purchase from APPLE i am mistified as to why this is happening as i am not trying to purchase anything i am simply trying to update a FREE APP so that i can continue to use it.  after 3 wasted days i feel like i will just sell the fecking apple product and go get an android device.

     

    I rate apple support as -10000

    not only has the person who is helping me failed to read my initial problem or responses to them correctly they keep implying that i owe apple money when i do not, there are ample funds in my bank account and £25 on my itunes account.  this appears to have been a problem for quite a while which they refuse to fix. 

    Poor Apple, very poor.  Hopefully this will be brought to the attention of NESTOR at Itunes support the technician who supposedly was going to resolve my problem

    Same problem here, same card been fine purchasing in itunes now for 6 months; it is valid and works on other sites and when shopping yet now itunes is declining payment?!?!

     

    Any other ideas people?

    It says the album i preordered is purchased!!!! and then it won't let me download cause it says credit card denied, WTH Is this, I pay for something and can't have it...? It's a visa Gift card that I won at a Work Picnic Raffle... This is peein me off!

    I have had a similiar problem. I have a prepaid visa card that i registered my ID with so i didnt have to bother with another giftcard after my last ID died miserabally. I had 20 dollars on it so i just spent money on music ect until a couple days ago it has said your credit card has been denied. I think this is because it has 3 or 4 dollars on it and maybe isnt enough but heres the thing. I can't download new apps or music. I cant download updates. I cant do nothing. The apps i have cant be used without having latest update so this is really annoying. Please help, its $300 dollars rendered useless for now since i cant use my ipod touch. Considerably annoying that i lost $34 gift card money that i WON.. on my old acc. Please i Have had enough please help me.

    You should be able to see my post from a long time back.

     

    Try changing the details that Apple have registered for your visa card so that it exactly matches what is on the card.

    Also the same with the address.

    So if your name is Andrew Johnson but the card says Mr A B Johnson

    make sure that the Apple name matches the Mr A B Johnson on your visa card

    Well I'm having the same exact problems, and it's frustrating!

    It doesn't matter what credit card I use that is valid, it's declined?

     

    Doesn't matter if I'm DL a free app or not I can't DL anything..

     

    I also tried to delete the credit card on file & problem would be fix( from what I've been reading on forums)

    But I can't even delete the card.

     

    All this just happen out of no where, worked fine last night till I went to bed, then when I woke up all this trouble started happening,I'm using the new iOS 7.

     

     

     

    I'm thinking it might have to do with the new iOS 7? Cause about 3 days ago my iMessages stopped working for an hour or 2 then went back working, so I'm wondering if this iOS 7 has anything to do with the DL stuff issue.

    I have the same problem of yours. My credit card was also declined.
