Credit Card is Declined

I've been having a problem for the past few days. Every time I try to make a purchase, my credit card is declined. I have used this credit card for purchases for years. I spoke to my bank and there is no reason for the card to be declined. I have tried using other cards and even Pay Pal. Itunes is declining all methods of payment for my account. I sent in an inquiry using itunes support and have heard nothing. Is there a number to call to solve this?

Hard to believe but 7 years after the original messages about this "credit card is declined" problem, apple still doesn't care. My card issuer says card is fine. 2nd card did work but its not really the one I want to use. Guess I am lucky it lets me play at all. I'm selling my apple stock because apple doesn't really want or need anymore money from all of you. I consider that a bad sign for future earnings. 7 years and still can't or won't fix a simple credit card issue.

Unbelievable.

I had the same issue for the past week or so which was very frustrating. I couldn't update my apps or even download free items from the store. I tried to use all of my valid credit cards/debt cards but none worked. I contacted itunes support and, despite what some other uses say, I find them to be very responsive and helpful. Although it took them about a week to solve the problem, I was kept updated about the progress in the meantime. At the end, they reset my account and the problem simply went way. My advise is just to wait and let Apple reset the account.

Well, it good to know I'm not the only one - I'm glad I found this post. This problem also started about 2 days ago for me as well. At this point, I am going to contact iTunes and have them reset my account as well. Also, not only have my credit cards been declined (and I can also confirm that the banks are not even seeing the transactions go though - I tried verifying my CC with my banker on the phone! The transaction didn't ping the bank's server). Also tried with PayPal, set up a relationship about 10 times with no luck. I'm thinking this must have something to do with the whole iTunes / paypal phishing schemes that have occurred in the past days. Please post again if any of you have success.

Today I was able to download some updates. I haven't tried buying new items from the iTunes store so I cannot say for sure whether the issue has been fixed. They were supposed to email me once they have done something but I never got an email.

I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that the problem is fixed. For those of you having the same problem I suggest contacting iTunes support immediately because it could take days before they actually read your email.

Same problem here. Contacted them and didn't get an email for two days, then all it said was they passed it to their boss to look at it, and that they didn't work on weekends. All I want to do is buy apps and update the apps I have, but they don't seem to care.

This is the second time this has happened to me! What gives?!

Having the same issue and I'm annoyed. I've been an iPod owner for about a week now and I'm having these problems. This isn't a very good way to start off my Apple Experience...
The best part? I'm not trying to use a credit card. I'm using my PayPal account. The same one I used to buy a ton of apps and it just stopped working and telling me that my credit card is declined. It's not a credit card!!
Emailed support and this was my reply:

"I understand that you are facing difficulty in making purchases using your Paypal account. I am sure this can be frustrating and I am sorry for the inconvience. Rest assured, I will do my best to resolve this issue for you as soon as possible.
Joe, finding a solution for you is important to me, so I have requested assistance with the issue you reported. You will receive an email after the matter has been investigated and further information is available.
Thank you for your patience. Apple wants your iTunes experience to be as enjoyable as possible."

That was a day and a half ago. Still no update, but probably because it's the weekend.
Gotta admit, I was always an Apple skeptic, but I really thought that was going to change as I'm actually very impressed with the iPod Touch I got. iTunes and support so far? Not impressed. Quite annoyed. I was almost ready to drop my Droid and look at an iPhone, but I think I'll stick with what I've got if I can't get some damned help soon...
