My MacBook Air puts an extra apostrophe t after writing a word with 't at the end

This is an ongoing problem that I have with my old MacBook Pro and now seems to be getting worse with my new MacBook Air. If I write wouldn't, couldn't, shouldn't my Mac often adds another apostrophe t at the end:

wouldn't't, couldn't't and shouldn't't didn't't etc.

How do I get it to stop???

It doesn't happen every time.......

MacBook Air, macOS 13.5

Any chance you have a utility app like TextExpander or Keyboard Maestro installed that's entering these unwanted characters?

Did you check System Settings-->Accessibility-->Keyboard for any unwanted settings there?
