The rotation option has disappeared from the Display preferences screen. Previous posts suggest that Display Link manager can cope with this (( I am using a 23 MacMini M2 , Ventura OS, through Plugable hub, HDMI connections) but how can I access the rotate option? Monitors are compatible.

What display are you using?
Notes:
1) rotation is not allowed on the built-in display
2) rotation is not allowed on an external display that is mirroring the internal display.
If you are in situation 2), change the external display to act as extended desktop instead of mirroring and you will be able to rotate.

Using a Mac Mini so no built in display.
Neither main nor extended display has a rotate option on Preferences / Display when using the Plugable Hub / DisplayLink. The rotate option is there if connect display directly to macMini USB-C so it is a Display Link thing, but is there a fix / option in DisplayLink to allow rotation?
Then it’s a question to be asked to the developers of DisplayLink. I don’t own any dock to connect any displays using this software, so I have no way of testing. All my external displays show the option to rotate.
