Is there a market for a second hand MacBook? I would like to sell mine.

I have never had any luck using this computer. Best Buy has tried to help me with but when they leave it will do nothing. I thought with an IPhone and iPad I should get a Mac computer. It was a mistake. I hate to throw it away. Someone can probably make good use of it.

There is a market for used Mac computers, for sure. If you do a quick scan on eBay, you'll find tons of them there.

Others have had success selling them on FaceBook Marketplace...and there are sites that will purchase your used Mac from you.

To me, however, the bigger question might be why you've found it so difficult to use your Mac? Is it because it has issues you've not been able to resolve, or are you finding the "how to use a Mac" learning curve too steep?

While we're not always able to respond within minutes here, the odds are excellent that a well-written, detailed question will start getting responses here within an hour or two.

Something does appear to be seriously wrong with it. Can you return it to Best Buy?

A MacBook Air's trackpad is its primary user interface. If it does not work a mouse won't help, in addition to its being an outdated relic.

I wonder if there is seriously something wrong with it. I can’t navigate in it. Can’t get to the top or bottom, for that matter, of a list of emails. Someone said it would be better with a mouse. And at first it did seem slightly better, sometimes I could navigate, and then I couldn’t again. I hate to have to go buy another one when I spent so much on this one. I can do most things with my phone.

I hate to think I paid so much for this lemon of a computer. The last Macintosh computer I had was a very long time ago, maybe my first computer. Since then I have had PC’s. I guess I have to give it up. My wife died within the year after I bought, so after not buying an extended warranty Ira very long one, Best Buy will do nothing for me, though while I did have the warranty I brought it in and they came to my house, but even with the mouse I can’t navigate.

Although you've already returned it to Best Buy, I suspect you haven't used a Mac trackpad before?

This Apple Support article would have helped you with navigating your email list. Use trackpad and mouse gestures on Mac - Apple Support. Essentially, all you have to do is use your index finger and middle finger to swipe up or down on the trackpad to move the focus to the email you're looking for.

Of course, I may be way off on the above two paragraphs...apologies if I am.
