logic board replacement

so unfortunately I had an issue with my macbook m1 pro 14” a week ago that i wasn’t able to turn the device on. It had a burnt smell on the right side of the device. When I went to the apple genius bar they opted to check in the device to replace the logic board, touch id board and the top case with battery. Is this essentially a new computer with an old display? This was at no extra cost thanks to apple care plus, I am just worried that as I still have the same device, that the issue can happen again in the future

Essentially yes, but to be clear it will be the display you already have — your existing display. Just about everything else will be new.
