Settings for Diving with Ultra2

I would like to try out the Oceanic app, while on next dive vacation. I do not plan to use it as the main Dive computer, but merely to test it out. I would on the other prefer not to drown it.

So, my question is. Should I set the “Water droplet” active or not?

Hello era_viking,

We see you are asking about diving with your Apple Watch Ultra. The best guidance to follow is in this helpful Apple article: Use the Depth app on Apple Watch Ultra

You will want to use the Water Lock when submerging your watch in water.

Begin and end a session with Depth app

The Depth app opens and begins a session when your Apple Watch Ultra is submerged to a depth of 1 meter or more. If you don't have the app set to open automatically, tap the Depth app, or press the Action button if you've configured it to open the Depth app, to start a session.
When the Depth app opens, Water Lock turns on to prevent any accidental input on the screen or with the Digital Crown. If you want to record a workout such as an open-water swim, open the Workout app and begin the workout before you submerge your Apple Watch Ultra.
When you're finished, press and hold the Digital Crown to turn off Water Lock and end your session. The screen unlocks, and a series of tones plays to clear any water that remains in the watch speaker.

We hope this information helps.

Safe diving and take care.
