My iPhone 7 overheated

Hello, I woke up this morning to a steaming hot iPhone 7, I could feel the heat from the pouch and it felt like it was going to explode!

it was 87% when I left it last night, and it was 25% when I woke up this morning. It took me about ten minutes to cool with the help of an ice cube, and afterwards, it refused to charge.

now I left it for hours, and immediately I turned the phone in and turned in my data connection, it started overheating again. Please help me!!!

iPhone 7 is > 7 years old, which also affects the battery life. The hardware remains old, so does the battery.

If it is still possible, have the battery replaced.

The battery can be replaced by Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider.
