Mac Mini M2 - Sonoma - Disk Management Error 53249 - Problems Using & Mounting My SeaGate Desktop Drives (ExFat Formatted)

Hi all,

I am having errors connecting both of my SeaGate Desktop Drives to my Mac Mini M2 Sonoma OS.

  • Mac Mini M2
  • Sonoma OS
  • Disk Management Error 53249
  • Problems Using & Mounting both of My SeaGate Desktop Drives
  • Both Drives are ExFat Formatted
  • Both Drives are being Recognized by My Mac Mini M2 Sonoma
  • I tried running Disk Utility, First Aid, Mounting with no luck on either drive.
  • I also watched endless Youtube tutorials, but nothing is working.

Any Solutions Apple or Apple Community?

This is driving me wild with my brand new Mac Mini M2.

Thanks!

Mac mini, macOS 14.0

Hi again,

So I tried just about everything.

  1. I downgraded successfully to Ventura. - But I got the same error.
  2. I bought a new powerful power strip. - But that didn't work.
  3. Both SeaGate 8TB drives are formatted to exFat.
  4. The First Aid on both drives didn't work.
  5. The Mount on both drives didn't work.

But both drives are appearing in Disk Utility. Their names are lightly transparent, meaning something is not working. I provided a few more screenshots with details of my First Aid run and Disk Utility views.

On the screenshots I noticed "Owners Disabled", "Bootable No", "Writeable No", but I have no idea what those are.
