Alarm sounding on phone but not watch

I just replaced my 7 with a 9. Everything is great except the sleep alarm is not sounding/buzzing my watch. If I set an alarm directly on the watch, it sounds. If I set a timer on my phone, it notifies my watch and sounds, but not an alarm. Not sure what’s going on. I have restarted both devices, checked and rechecked alarm settings, don’t know if I am missing something or if it’s a glitch. Any info you can give would be appreciated!

Hi there Caroljeynn,

If you would like for an alarm set on your iPhone to also alert on your Apple Watch, follow these steps from Add an alarm on Apple Watch:

See the same alarms on both iPhone and Apple Watch

1. Set the alarm on your iPhone.

2. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

3. Tap My Watch, tap Clock, then turn on Push Alerts from iPhone.

Your Apple Watch alerts you when an alarm goes off so you can snooze or dismiss the alarm. (You aren’t alerted on your iPhone when your Apple Watch alarms go off.)

If this continues after following those, are you using your iPhone when these alarms alert? If so, that may be why the alarm is not alerting on your Apple Watch since the companion iPhone is in use.
