iPad pro as a "tablet" for mac desktop

Can I use an iPad Pro as a "tablet" (like a Wacom tablet) to work on MacOS apps on my desktop Mac (M2 Mini)? I'd like to be able to use it for graphics editing which I find easier to do by drawing on the actual image vs using a mouse. Sidecar doesn't seem to support this.

Technically you can, by using the Side Car option, and dragging the graphics program from the Mac, onto the iPad.

You can then use the pencil on the iPad to draw on the image inside the graphics program.
